ABUNDANT ENERGY 

CONCERNS: The fullness of energy and power; the inevitable decline of fullness; the settled knowledge concerning these cycles which sustains our giving and confidence throughout.

1. Here we are bringing together the correct complementary elements and so can create a successful outcome.
2. We are blocking off our own inner source of clarity, light and power with our illusions and preoccupations.
3. We become ineffectual when we remain cut off from the source of our inner clarity, light and power; perhaps we are being distracted by too many claims on our attention.
4. As our subjective darkness recedes, we can act with clarity.
5. Internal clarity and power are being assisted from without, creating the possibility for real accomplishment.
6. We become spiritually impoverished when we create a life of material abundance at the expense of our inner development.

COMMENT: There are two obvious choices for us: we can create a life of material and social accumulation or we can create a life rich with spiritual growth. The former we cannot take with us, the latter we can; the former will not support us when real difficulty —disease, loss, death —strikes, the latter will. “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” 4 Matt. V 19-21
