PATIENCE
CONCERNS: Keeping patiently focused in the midst of difficulties and dangers; trusting in a proper resolution; understanding that a basic confidence and a sincere faith will of themselves produce a positive energy response from the universe.
- Although we may sense impending difficulty or danger, we are still far from it; permitting anxiety to provoke us into reckless action could precipitate the difficulty which we fear.
- We are closer to the difficulty or danger; it is important now that we exercise restraint and self-control in the midst of any gossip, criticism, blame or agitation.
- We are entering an area of vulnerability, danger and possible defeat; a lack of caution now will invite serious trouble. We must be truly aware, calm and careful in order to resolve this situation favorably.
- Although in the midst of danger, do not become overwhelmed by anxiety and helplessness; by being cooperative, non-challenging and receptive to available help you can get out of the threatening situation.
- Since the outcome will be beneficial, we remain serene, balanced and cheerful, alert to over-confidence.
- The waiting is now over. As we encounter the danger, however, unexpected help arrives; welcome the help with respect and all will be well.
COMMENT: It is easier to deal with troubles when they are small; our freedom of action is greatest at the beginning of events, and the I Ching teaches us the wisdom of paying serious attention to the first, small signs of danger.
