TWENTY-THREE

剝

DETERIORATION, RADICAL DOUBT

CONCERNS:  Confidence becoming eroded by corrosive doubt; the splitting apart of crystallized structure; decay; becoming vulnerable to negativity after losing clarity and control.

1. This is the beginning of our being undermined: by malicious people, by our own negligence, by our immersion in illusion or by our interaction with those who would ruin us. Now we have been warned.
2. The undermining has advanced to the next stage and danger has been allowed to draw closer. Are we being stubborn or are we engaging in denial?
3. Here we will not allow undermining influences to draw us off our center.
4. Now the undermining influence has reached us and we are about to experience serious deterioration or danger.
5. Here we head out of danger into the light, guiding others as we go.
6. After deterioration reaches its limit, the light returns; those of us who have conserved our energy and resources can begin again in this new cycle.

COMMENT: Although we cannot control the ebb and flow of natural cycles and cannot control our environing circumstances, we can keep ourselves stable, healthy, balanced and correct. This will not make us immune to surrounding influences but it will keep us from deteriorating under their pressure and allow us to function optimally in difficult situations.
