RESPONSE TO SUBTLE GUIDANCE
CONCERNS: Becoming aware of and following our highest guidance; relinquishing what does not further our growth; meeting the needs of the time appropriately.
- In times of great change, it is vital we maintain our integrity while remaining open to various points of view which could lead us to correct ourselves. Reach out and join with others who have the same quality of mind.
- Attachment to the transient prevents union with what is permanent. If most of our energy goes into what is ephemeral, what will we have to show for the efforts of a lifetime?
- Commitment to what is changeless supports us in relinquishing the transitory; since the choice is clear, we can feel secure in our decision.
- This line calls attention to our motivation in following truthful guidance; is it to gain a selfish, personal advantage or to help us create a relationship with our higher selves, our group and our environment? Is it to try to prove our superiority or to practice our receptivity to good input? A return to inner sincerity will lead us out of subjective illusions.
- Our responsiveness to the subtle guidance of the universal order manifests in us as sincerity, goodwill and helpfulness.
- After we have achieved some measure of true maturity and vision, our obligation is to continue to follow subtle guidance and, with it, to serve humanity.
COMMENT: We can be led by our desires, we can follow cultural fashion or we can respond to our growing inner awareness; this awareness can be cultivated only through constant attention to the meaning of experience. A search for the meaning within all experience leads us continually to expanded consciousness.
