HARMONY

CONCERNS: Joy arising from the heart in harmony with the universal order; a ready willingness to act in positive directions; moving desire to the higher octaves of aspiration and joy.

  1. Smug, self-satisfied, indulgent and encapsulated in our egotism, we expose ourselves to danger.
  2. If we engage in persistent, disciplined self-examination even when things are going well we will become grounded and clear and can increasingly respond correctly to whatever we encounter without hesitation or doubt.
  3. Now it is necessary to come back to our own dignified center and avoid flattering those around us who are not mature.
  4. Here we gather people around us in harmony and cooperation through the force of our purified intentions.
  5. Continuing to harbor weaknesses, though foolish, will not kill us, and could remind us of the work yet to be done to restore self-respect and self-control.
  6. Pleasure- seeking submerges us in a world of delusion but if we can awaken from this and restrain our impulsiveness there will not be an insuperable problem.

COMMENT: There is great pleasure and joy when we transcend the endless rounds of desire, indulgence and regret.
