COOPERATION

CONCERNS: Yielding our selfishness for the benefit of the group; formations caused by the natural attraction of goodwill instead of selfish interests, furthering the development of humanity.

1. Here we come together out of goodwill, not seeking personal advantage.
2. Here we come together out of selfishness, seeking personal advantage.
3. Suspicion and narrowness are obstacles to cooperation; distrust and personal ambition undermine the possibility of real progress or leadership.
4. Be alert to the possibility that confrontation can produce insight and reform.
5. Great frustrations and obstacles can be overcome when we are guided by the spirit of enduring cooperation.
6. Idealistic gatherings are ineffectual but harmless.

COMMENT: Gatherings based on goodwill form the groundwork for peace on earth. They most reliability occur among people who have worked diligently to transcend their egocentric motivations.
