PEACE

CONCERNS: The manifestation of the heavenly, the divine and the spiritual through the earthly, the material and the human; the harmonizing of yin and yang energies; living as a soul-directed personality.

1. Subtle energies supporting our undertakings now form a favorable environment.
2. The harmonizing of diverse energies or people into a firm working unit is one of the highest expressions of peace, promising success in whatever is undertaken.
3. After difficulties, there will be progress; after progress there will be difficulties. After a rise, there is a fall; after sadness, joy; after life there is death and after death there is life. Knowledge of the cyclical nature of existence produces confidence and prevents both over-enthusiasm and depression.
4. Set those around you at their ease; let your sincerity create an environment of goodwill.
5. There is great benefit when what is high joins what is low, when heaven joins earth and the soul informs the personality. This can be a model for our continued development.
6. As we enjoy the heights of prosperity or achievement, we should be aware of the likelihood of an imminent reversal. If deterioration occurs, we should not accelerate the disorder by our own reactivity. Stability within can minimize the effects of external chaos.

COMMENT: Times of peace and prosperity should be used wisely for the uplifting of those who are still oppressed, not for our indulgences and selfishness. These are the fortunate times during which we can strengthen ourselves and each other so that the inevitable decline will be mitigated.
