STILLNESS
CONCERNS: Becoming quiet at the end of an active cycle; acting out of the stillness; being the stillness.
- We cannot be misled by circumstance or emotion if we establish discernment and clarity before initiating an action.
- Here we are advised to be still and not try and interfere if someone who is impervious to our input continues to head into trouble.
- It is not correct to use our minds to impose an artificial stillness upon our hearts or bodies; allow the mind to settle and what is active will naturally become quiet.
- Allow the body to come to rest.
- Speech is a form of energy, words have power; used accurately and responsibly they can be constructive; used carelessly they can harm.
- Stillness, serenity and stability are indicated here as a way of life.
COMMENT: Inner stillness gives rise to outer stillness. Inner stillness gives rise to correct action in the world.
