PROPER NOURISHMENT
CONCERNS: Turning our attention and support from the transient, the material and the obvious to the everlasting, the spiritual and the subtle; nurturing the evolution of others.
- Persistently seeking satisfaction for the desires of our lower natures prevents or weakens our connection with the Higher World.
- Constantly leaving our center to seek peripheral support will unbalance us.
- If we put our major effort into gaining the habitual material rewards instead of nourishing our spiritual development, we may be temporarily gratified but we will miss entirely the opportunities given by each life.
- Here we nourish ourselves appropriately, selecting what is best for us from our environment, always reaching for what is higher.
- This is a time to cultivate our inner life, not to be venturesome, and to support ourselves with what we have already achieved or obtained.
- Becoming aware that we are the source of love, support and nourishment in our lives. By assuming sober responsibility for this understanding, we can achieve much for ourselves and others.
COMMENT: With what will we nourish ourselves? Comfort, food, possessions, status, self-serving relationships and input? Or beauty and order, the continual transformation of the old into the new, the revival of energy in the renewal of contact with the Divine Source, the return of light and hope and faith and love? Let us be aware of what we turn to; we are what we desire, we are what we believe, we are what we choose.
